Financial Planning Portal Tools

Ratchet partnered with a Minneapolis-based financial planning company to launch a cutting-edge advisor discovery application. We lead the Discovery and Definition process from the “idea stage” into development and sucessful deployment with a very aggressive timeline. This customer-facing portal streamlined the sales process and created significant operational efficiencies. The application includes a complex matching algorithm to bring customers together with the right advisor, every time. This advisor site platform decreased costs by eliminating the need for a fully centralized site support team, by putting the power of personalized content into the hands of advisors to drive lead-generation and conversions. Since launching, we've partnered with the Marketing and IT team to develop mobile and social tools including LinkedIn integration.

Tablespoon.com

Tablespoon is an online recipe content discovery application for a Minneapolis-based consumer packaged goods company. We were engaged to integrate multiple 3rd party solutions –  including Sitecore CMS, Community Server, Outbrain, Baynote and WordPress – and partnered with several creative agencies along with their internal Marketing and IT teams to bring the concept to a digital reality.

The application features heavy personalization, recommendations, social integration via Facebook Connect and user-driven content such as ratings, comments, sharing and blogs. Since launching, the site has undergone a perpetual data-driven evolution, including new designs, methods of navigation, and a mobile experience.

Tablespoon Mobile

Launching Tablespoon.com for the web was not enough. We needed to reach consumers where they are when making meal decisions, which is anywhere. To this end we built a unique mobile experience focused on serving up relevant recipes and supporting search – putting the power to answer “what’s for dinner” in users’ hands wherever they are and to (almost) any mobile device.

Working Family Resource Center

The Working Family Resource Center (WFRC) is a St. Paul, MN based non-profit organization providing parents with education and support to manage the competing demands of work and family. As part of the annual Nerdery Overnight Website Challenge, Ratchet was granted the opportunity to strategize with their team and lead the transformation of WFRC’s entire interactive experience – including a new mobile-optimized website run on the Ratchet CMS and an iPad presentation tool … all within 24 hours. The new site serves up personalized content based on users’ behaviors, an email campaign management tool and robust site analytics to arm WFRC with valuable insights for future enhancements.

SelectAccount Group Admin Portal

Ratchet originally partnered with SelectAccount, the medical banking division of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota, to define and develop phase1 of their new public site in November of 2010. During that project, we began the parallel path work on a secure client portal which their clients would use to manage their member’s plans, access data and reports – online or exported – and get the necessary information to conduct business with SelectAccount. Within months of the public site release, Ratchet built the portal and delivered an in-context administration to SelectAccount allowing them to seamlessly update content and send global & account-specific messages to their clients via a custom Ratchet CMS. The portal has three different permission / authentication levels and allows data for new members and new health plans to be safely passed between the portal and SelectAccount internal databases. Stay tuned for what’s next as we continue to partner and expand the SelectAccount portal functionality to other constituents.
