Ratchet partnered with the Minneapolis-based agency, Fallon, to create the “Caprica Open Mic” Facebook Application as part of a larger launch of the new Syfy series Caprica … a spin-off of the Syfy series Battlestar Galactica (http://www.syfy.com/battlestar/). The application creates a forum for Caprica actors to connect directly with the fans by posing topical questions and capturing fan responses via web cam or video upload. Responses are reviewed and a set of 9 are compiled into a Caprica video documentary posted back to Facebook.
Ratchet developed the application to ensure Caprica team members and Fallon can participate seamlessly via a user-friendly administration panel that any user of Facebook can master. This application was created and launched in less than a month.
