Navistar wanted an iPhone app offering real-time parts inventory, dealership locations, and promotions information with the ability to make rapid changes to the information that users see. Ratchet wrote a custom service layer integrating four feeds – two maintained externally and two we created – to keep their application up-to-date and in users’ hands … rather than in Apple's app review queue. The app allows users to search for dealers by proximity to their current location, zip code, name, parts availability and service offerings; serving up detailed parts and specials available at each dealership.

This project was all about evolving an iPhone application we built for ReadyCredit to the next level. Version 1, the prepaid industry’s first mobile application, was built on a foundational code base allowing for reuse of functionality across multiple mediums. Version 2 continues to do the same, and in addition, offers person to person money transfers, easier to read Account Balance screen, unlimited transaction history detail, in-app Google mapping and new card orders – built on a mobile platform to support cross-mobile functionality for the future.

When Ready Card users need to find the nearest kiosk, check their card balance or view latest transactions the information is in the palm of their hand, thanks to a Ratchet built iPhone app for Ready Credit. The app's sleek design was done by ideapark and calls the web site code to handle all information gathering so we didn't have to reinvent the wheel.
