Navistar - Technical Agency of Record

International Truck (IT), a partner of ours since 2005, came to us in 2009 to deepen our relationship - asking that we guide and own their digital solution as their Technical Agency of Record.
We immediately got to work owning the conversation, bridging across division lines, unifying and centralizing interactive environments and establishing success metrics.
We implemented Omniture and developed dashboards to provide accurate and up-to-date metrics for their business users. We use these metrics to guide us when drafting IA and UX, designing a cohesive, measurable solution project by project.

Navistar iPhone App

Navistar wanted an iPhone app offering real-time parts inventory, dealership locations, and promotions information with the ability to make rapid changes to the information that users see. Ratchet wrote a custom service layer integrating four feeds – two maintained externally and two we created – to keep their application up-to-date and in users’ hands … rather than in Apple's app review queue. The app allows users to search for dealers by proximity to their current location, zip code, name, parts availability and service offerings; serving up detailed parts and specials available at each dealership.

Navistar iPad App

Navistar needed a way for dealers to take their sales tools on the road with them; educating customers on each truck’s key features and benefits. We partnered with them to define, develop and deliver an online/offline iPad sales app integrating with a 3rd API to offer more insights via a competitive comparison. After great adoption and success with the iPad, a desktop version was created for dealers without iPads; expanding the reach of the tools.

When Navistar wanted to let the world know about how their approach to meeting stringent 2010 emissions standards would benefit drivers AND the environment, they turned to Ratchet to build a platform that could be leveraged across initiatives. From MaxxForceTV.com, to internationaltrucks.com, RSS feeds and video streams, Ratchet technology delivered their key messaging.
